A thoroughbred is a horse breed best known for its use in horse racing. They are considered as “hot-blooded” horses known for their agility, speed, and spirit. This breed of horse first came to North America in the 1730’s from England where they were originally crossbred in the 17th and 18th century by English mares and Oriental stallions from Arabia, Barb and Turkoman. The horses chosen for the TRACS team come straight from the racetrack. Some have raced only the Summer, others have raced for multiple years. Each of them have their own unique personality that our trainers are very excited to begin training in the month of January.
